What We Do:

              
  Improved Athlete’s Performance is designed to work as a catalyst to make you a better athlete. This is done by using functional training, which can be simply described as purposeful training for athletes specifically. Everything we do from lifting to nutrition is designed to help athletes specifically. This site can most generally be described as “Sports General” training. It is based off the idea that there is certain movements and muscles that are used in all sports, for example, striking, lateral movement, jumping and quick twitch muscle fibers. This site will better athletes for any sport and prepare them to play at the highest level.

                How do we know? We have been working with professional trainers who are ex-professional athletes and full-time physical therapists to create the most efficient/healthiest workout programs possible for athletes. This goes from everything in the weight room to how to change your overall lifestyle to improve yourself athletically.

                The weight room. As athletes, lifting weights is extremely important in giving yourself a competitive edge. Through the weight room IAP stresses to make everything you do functional and effective. Our lifting program will help athletes get bigger, faster and stronger and most importantly, GET MORE ATHLETIC. This is done through lifts that feature "sports general" ideas such as explosion and power. For example, instead of doing biceps and  set of bench press, you will be doing hang cleans combined with front bridges.

                Conditioning. Our conditioning program is specific for athletes who are out of season and trying to not only stay in shape, but better themselves in specific aspects such as their jumping, speed, quickness, power, endurance and mental toughness. This is done by using what we do in the weight room and stressing the same things here. For example, after doing hang cleans, which stress explosiveness and jumping, in the weight room, we will do broad jumps all the way up a hill to further work this movement. This program is very functional for every sport and every athletic movement and will prepare athletes to be a step ahead of their competition.



                Nutrition. Improved Athlete’s Performance believes strongly in nutrition when it comes to athletes. The difference in the nutrition of an athlete can make all the difference in athleticism. After your workout, the effort to become more athletic is not over. A person who has good nutrition will have a decidedly large advantage over someone who does not when it comes to making gains in the weight room and in overall fitness (speed, power, etc.). We have developed what nutrition is best for athletes and best for making gains, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
